You would be looking at signal strength, noise and nearby networks. If there a lot of networks and they are using the same channel (or something close to yours) it would be best to change the channel on your router (refer to manual if unsure).
Make sure router is up to date. Distance between ATV and router is a factor as is the age of your router, placement of ATV and other WiFi devices or appliances in the area that use that same frequency.
That would be based on the network, issues can come at any time.
If on wifi try ATV on Ethernet
To see a current status of the network get a report from istumbler or similar. Look for signal strength, noise, nearby networks

I’m pretty sure it’s the airplay software because I can stream to the Apple TV different method not airplay and works fine never cuts out. This is with a wireless hdd and VLC running on the Apple TV. They both have to hook up to my network to work now if it were the network there would be issues here.
Yes hi there I have seen this response before and it’s not network otherwise while online gaming it would cut out while streaming movie online it would cut out when I stream from iPhone to my MacBook it works fine but when 8 different devices trying to stream to the same 2 type Apple TVs at any one given time then no it’s got absolutely nothing to do with my networking. As I said before they worked perfect until iOS 11 update after that both Apple TV just seem to cut away from view
Network issues can present in various ways, and none of that rules out the network, you need to do proper troubleshooting. Airplay is working just fine on my system and for the majority Running the same software.
Yes, I have streamed full movies via airplay without issue. I have a 4th Gen and 4K ATV running current firmware. I've also used Apple TV for many years, going back to the 2nd Gen and done extensive testing for this forum.
You keep making assumptions, just because something else works it doesn't mean your network is without issue. You need to look into things and do proper troubleshooting.

Ok thanks for the response so what would I look for when using istumbler is that installed on the Mac?? Like what’s unacceptable readings and what are good readings?? And is there a way to adjust this I have a NETGEAR Night Hawk modem router
So do u stream movie length feature films from what device to what Apple TV u got?? Also what software is your devices running?? Do u work for Apple??
