Hello, please assist if possible. Trying to add a phone number to the new apple id, already deleted it from the old one, but it says that the number is still in use. I turned off imessages and face time on old account and deleted number and now I'm stuck. Don't want to use the old apple id.

If you created a new Apple ID, are you aware that all your previous purchases are tied to that ID? You might want to consider doing a name change of your older ID.
