Old ipad 2 Camera Connection kit not working Solved

I am still using the now unsupported 30 pin connector. After freaking out reading all the forum posts I fixed this problem. I use the camera connection kit to hook up my midi keyboard to use for music apps. it just stopped connecting with the ipad. I took a needle nose pliers and gently squeezed the tiny metal spreader bar a little tighter. This way when the data pins slide to connect there is no gap. Over many uses pulling it out to re charge, it starts to get loose. After I did this it immediately connected and my midi keyboard was registering in the music apps!! I hope this helps some old gen ipad users that do not use a lightning connection.
