Moving the iMovie library to iCloud

I was thinking about moving my iMovie library to iCloud to keep it "synced" between two computers and also to have a sort of extra backup. I understand that I should be careful switching between using iMovie on the two mac's to not cause any sync conflicts, but other than that, do anyone know of or see any problems with this?

Interesting idea, but it will not work. iMovie only recognizes and opens Libraries on your internal drive or directly connected drives. Even if it could be done through some process the data transfer rate would be far to slow for video work.

That's an interesting idea. I don't know that much about iCloud Drive but in reading Apples docs about it I doubt it will work with iMovie libraries. I am not sure that the media would be at full resolution on your Mac even with optimize turned off. I could find no reference to that option except for iCloud photo library. Did find this statement in one Apple Doc. You shouldn't store app folders, libraries, or .tmp files in iCloud Drive. Maybe some one who has better knowledge on this will comment.
