installing a atx into a powermac g5

So, i know its been done before but all the other guides don't go into detail about installing a ATX (full sized) motherboard into a gutted powermac g5. Do the mobo standoffs already fit it or will i need to do some custom fittings? I'm not bothered about the rear IO, just the GPU has to line up properly.

Not sure what kind of headway or detailed information you may get here

or what may be allowed; in regard to re-purposing the aluminum G5 PM

tower case. In hopes of being able to use any other logic board or GPU

and have it fit. There have been several postings online, some lack info..

There are other parts & discussions elsewhere online; however recycling these nice

cases after previous owners have given up on them, is good & useful re-purpose...

Similar ideas can be seen here & perhaps some not so familiar:

Just in case someone else had seen content vaporize from this thread...

...the edit was done under protest and assumes original author did not ask

of the content, that has since been removed ~ from my now edited reply.

Essentially similar information that recently was removed from above reply

offered a few years ago by a longterm ASC member in good standing....

{So next time I may spend even less of my very limited time on this site.

I'm let out of my box for short intervals; this is more like work than fun.}

Seeing for no reason (& edited while citing policies that don't apply) to

In any event,

We'll see. 😐
