Are the power cords to all iMacs the same? I have lost the cord to my iMac (5-7 years old) when I moved and don't know which model I actually have. Is there a generic Mac power cable that I can buy to replace it with?

I lost the power cord to my iMac when I moved and can't recollect either what model the computer is or even exactly how old it is. Best guess...5-7 years. Obviously, I can't turn it on to find out what model it is. Is there a generic iMac power cord that I can buy to replace the missing one? Thanks.

MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11)

The Intel iMac's after 2006 use the same power cord with a round flange.

You can get an Apple replacement cord online. see > google.com/search?client=imac-power-cord

Or you can use a generic computer power cord without the round flange.

Which you can pickup at any electronic's outlet like Fry's, BestBuy, Staples or Office Depot.
