I've had an iPad mini 2 for about 4 years, however, a few months ago i dropped my it and the corner of the screen cracked a little. It still worked perfectly fine, but earlier today, I tried turning it on, and it was just a black screen with a grey bar in the middle of it. After a few seconds of it being on, it turns off completely. I tried resetting it several times and it won't do anything.
I’m sorry to say your iPad probably just died.
If you have a computer, especially one that you synced to, you can hook it up and see if it responds or if you can save anything off it, but beyond that ’It’s dead Jim’
You could make an appointment at your local apple store or authorized service provider and see if they offer you any options
