How to stop WiFi password sharing?

I literally live around the corner from my job and can connect to it’s WiFi from my living room using my iPhone. Yesterday my Mac connected to my work WiFi without me having to put any passwords in. How do I stop this from happening?

I deleted the WiFi from my Mac but it also deleted it from my iPhone and when I restored the WiFi password on my iPhone my Mac automatically switched to my work WiFi. My kids need to use the printers on our network and not print their homework to a work printer.

thanks in advance for the help.

On your Mac, open System Preferences / Network. Select the WiFi entry in the left pane. In the right pane, click the Advanced button in the lower right corner. Under the WiFi tab and within the Preferred Networks, delete your work Network Name from the list. You should only be able to manually connect to it. But once you do, it will get added again to this list unless you uncheck the Remember networks this computer has joined.

UPDATE: You will need to also TURN OFF iCloud Keychain in System Preferences / iCloud on your Mac or iDevice.

They have their own accounts, I just don’t want to automatically login to my job’s WiFi from my Mac. I need to keep that separate and in my iPhone only. My kids do use my computer for their homework if that helps.

Do they have their own accounts on your computer? Or are you all using the same one? I don't mean Apple ID. I mean log in to the computer. If they have their own account on your computer, they can then use their Apple ID in their account.
