How to add classic startup chime to 2017 Macbook Pro
Find an mp3 of the classic startup charm (I found mine here at bottom of this page: Hear the Evolution of Apple’s Iconic Startup Sound for the Mac | WIRED. Then follow this link: How to Add Startup Sounds to Your Mac
Remember to add space between afplay and file path. Also, to test on Automater, you will find use the utility function as described in the article. But to access "Get specified finder items" you will need to click on "Files and folders." You won't find it under "Utilities". This is what a successful application creation looks like:
Then go to: How to Add Startup Items to Your Mac and add the new Automator app. to your startup items.
