Unable to "Allow from Anywhere" due to Kernel

Hi I am trying to enable the "Allow from Anywhere" option and when trying the "sudo spctl –master-disable" command line in terminal I get the following message below.


System Policy Basic Usage:

spctl --assess [--type type] [-v] path ... # assessment

spctl --add [--type type] [--path|--requirement|--anchor|--hash] spec ... # add rule(s)

spctl [--enable|--disable|--remove] [--type type] [--path|--requirement|--anchor|--hash|--rule] spec # change rule(s)

spctl --status | --master-enable | --master-disable # system master switch


Kernel Extension User Consent Usage:

spctl kext-consent <action> ** Modifications only available in Recovery OS **

status

Print whether kernel extension user consent is enabled or disabled.

enable

Enable requiring user consent for kernel extensions.

disable

Disable requiring user consent for kernel extensions.

add <team-id>

Insert a new Team Identifier into the list allowed to load kernel extensions without user consent.

list

Print the list of Team Identifiers allowed to load without user consent.

remove <team-id>

Remove a Team Identifier from the list allowed to load kernel extensions without user consent.



Can someone please help me on this, I tried googling but was unsuccessful. This is brand new iMac that I use got, the command line worked for me before on my old iMac a few months ago running High Sierra.

Don’t.

Gatekeeper only affects the first launch of any application.

Keep it as is. When you need to launch an unsigned application *for the first time*, just Control-click and choose Open. A dialog comes up. Click Open. After that, you will be able to launch by double-clicking or whichever method you want.

There absolutely no need to disable SIP or otherwise diminish the system protection.
