AppleTV 4k and Ultra Wide Resolutions

If the AppleTv 4K offers "other resolutions" and lists 2560 x 1080 @60hz... and the monitor is asking for 2560 x 1080 @60hz... then why does the AppleTV 4K still stretch and squash the image??

Apple TV 4K (2nd Generation) on Ultrawide I’m running the Apple TV 4K (2nd gen) on my 3840x1600p native LG 38GL950G-B. It works perfectly fine on every resolution except for 1600p, where the image is crystal clear in the center and distorted on the outer edges. I’m unsure if it is an issue with the Apple TV, or an issue with the monitor. What should I do? Any help would be appreciated! p.s the issue is not with the HDMI cable, and the Apple TV does output full 4K HDR just fine on my other 4K TV.

AppleTV HD 16:9 aspect ratio on 4:3 resolution 640x480 Hi, I‘ve connected a little 640x480 projector (=4:3 aspect ratio) to my AppleTV HD. Eventhough I‘ve set the resolution accordingly to 640x480 on AppleTV, the AppleTV is not putting put 4:3 content but rather 16:9 content which is stretched vertically to 4:3, which is true for the menu as well as for AirPlay. If the AppleTV can‘t change the menu‘s aspect ratio shouldn‘t there at least be letterboxes if the content is 16:9, but the resolution 4:3? How can I get an unstretched picture?

4k monitor, no 4k image Issue: I cant seem to get a 4k image on my monitor that is connected via HDMI + apple's usb-c av adapter. I only get 3360x1980 Steps taken to troubleshoot: Update all software. Verify the HDMI cable and dongle - I connected my 4K TV via the HDMI cable and it outputted 4k@60 Verify the monito r- using a github program, I was successfully able to output a 4k image to my monitor. Try usb-c - This worked, but my the reason i was using the the dongle was for the usb port Try different brand of adapter - Only 3360x1980, just like the apple dongle. Ideas - the 3360x1980 only seems to occur with this monitor. I know this monitor capable of 4k over HDMI since I was able toget 4k, using 3rd party software. Therefore I know this is not a limitation of the monitors hardware and HDMI port. However this was third party software which can potential damage hardware. My usb drive, connected to the dongle, diffidently behaved differently with the third party software. YIKES! To me, this seems like a handshake issue between the two devices, my mac and the monitor. The monitor is a LG 27BL85U. See screen shot for more info. Any ideas on how to get a 4k image would be greatly appreciated.
