My MacBook pro is running extremely slow. Can you help?

Yep. It could be overheating issue, or damaged hard disk, or some process kills your CPU. Good idea is checking what is going on in activity monitor. You will find this in Apps / Utilities

Mine is in polish so don’t worry about this 😉 More important is the fact you can see what is going on with your Mac.

You should also try an SMC reset and an NVRAM reset
