Go to Settings/Control Center. Add the Driving button to the control center if it isn't already there. Then swipe up to show the control center (swipe down from the upper right on an iPhone X). Try toggling the Car button, leaving it off.

I haven't seen enough reports of it (only a couple) so I don't think it's a bug, but it certainly shouldn't be happening. It may be an incompatibility between the latest version of iOS, and may require an update to the firmware of your Sony BlueTooth adapter. The symptom sounds like iOS thinks the device contains a keyboard.

Go to Settings/Do Not Disturb. Is Do Not Disturb While Driving enabled?

The update to 11.2.6 was for one purpose only - to fix a problem where receiving a certain Sanskrit character sequence would cause the phone to shut down. The description of the update states that clearly. So I would not expect it to change any other behavior of the phone.
