Why am I restricted playlist for no reason?

My friend has been listening to a soundtrack of a game, and I want to listen to it too without YouTube. He shares with me the soundtrack link, and it says that it’s “not available” in the US, even when my friend, who has been in the US his entire life and so have I, can use it. I searched it up and the music is grayed out, telling me that it “can’t be played”. It doesn’t give me a reason because as far as I can tell there is no reason.
