Hi - i'm borrowing a friends mac to export some movies for vimeo (as mine is too old!) - however I get the following message when I upload them - how can I change the settings please (she has high sierra 10.13.1 and imovie 10.1.8) to export them correctly?

When you shared to Vimeo did you use the Vimeo share choice in the share menu and then got the error message? Try share to file and choose custom in the quality menu. This will give you a slider to set bit rate. Share to desktop and upload to Vimeo.
I am also trying on mpeg stream clip - I am really confused as to how to set the kbits....
i think where i'm confused is the kbits limit - i seem to have managed with mpeg however and don't get the same warning post from vimeo when i limit it to 3000
