Best USB flash Drive for FCPX video exports

I used compressor to convert a 4K video to a 1280x720 H.264 at 3.04GB. My SanDisk 8GB Cruzer Blade formated at Fat32 won't allow me to load it. SanDisk is telling me to format the drive to ExFat (that worked). My questions are 1. Why can't I load the file, it's under 4GB which I thought was the max single file size for Fat32. 2. I was told by an editor not to use ExFat as it could have issues on customers computers and TV's. 3. do the manufacture of the drive make a difference?

BTW SanDisk said they can't confirm if the USB will work on TV's and computers as they haven't tested them.

Any suggestions?

There is a known bug in the Finder in High Sierra (still not fixed as of 10.13.3), in which the Finder "thinks" that the file size limit of FAT32 is 2GB instead of the real 4GB.

It is surprising how such an egregious bug still persists, but let's move on to possible workarounds:

1) Format as ExFAT. That is easy, works for mac and pc, but it is unknown to which degree ExFAT will work on tv

2) Keep as FAT32, and use the Terminal to copy (only necessary if the file is between 2GB and 4GB):

2a) Type "cp " without the quotes, but WITH a space after the letters; DO NOT press Enter

2b) Drag the file you want to copy over the Terminal window

2c) Drag the icon of the thumb drive over the Terminal window

2d) Press enter

2e) Let the copy proceed (thumb drives are slow, and this is a largish file). When the prompt sign appears on the Terminal, it is finished
