Why would I be getting the old wrist watch cursor in Safari, High Sierra

I recently began getting the old wrist watch cursor showing up in Safari, using OSX High Sierrra. At first

it would show up occasionally loading pages. It now shows up repeatably by going to website data.

It shows up briefly while the data loads. It seems to have started after downloading an App from Shure microphones website, which I have used before. It doesn't show up on any of my other machines, including work, or my wife's machine. I cleared out as much website data as possible, and used Onyx to clear out caches.

It seemed to have limited it showing up to the website data, now. I uninstalled the Shure software, and looked for any possible remnants of it. Otherwise, the machine functions fine. I haven't been able to find anything remotely

like the problem on Google that is recent.

I also ran Malewarebytes, and that came up clean. Little Snitch shows no unusual activity either.

It's a 2011 MBP. High Sierra, 16 Gigs, RAM, i7 with OWC SSD.

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)
