Apple TVs Keep Freezing

I have two Apple TVs — a 4th Gen and a 3rd Gen — both are connected to Smart TVs and both keep freezing while they are on and require to be unplugged and plugged back in again. Upon restart, they both enter recovery mode, and I choose restart. That works but it’s an annoyance. I have been just shutting the Smart TVs off, and not the Apple TVs too. Just wondering if that might be the problem. It’s too much trouble to restore because my cable company, although it’s a major one, isn’t one of the ones that automatically is synced with the TV app. I have to go to 30 “activate” pages if I resorted or get the Apple 4K.
