most of the developers left the open office project when oracle took over
and started Libreoffice
both have iOS app store versions
&
GlobalOffice Suite for LibreOffice xls, doc & odp on the App Store

YOu can only install what’s available in the app store. THere is an open office reader. I have documents to go. You get pages and numbers and other apple apps free with the activation of a new device. Plus you can use microsoft’s apps free in a limited way
So there are a lot of options out there. I just went to the app store and typed open office, but do some searching and find one that works for you.
You can actually get Office for free on the iPad. Don't know why, but MS doesn't charge anything for the iOS version.
Office 365 mobile apps for iOS | Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Fill in your phone number or email address at the linked site, and MS will send you a download link.
