Imessage number greyed out with spinning circle and I can't change it

I am facing a problem with my iMessage and facetime. It is showing my old sim card number greyed out with a spinning circle next to it. I have no idea why it is not detecting my current phone number? Which I have changed two days ago I have tried all the possible solution such as changing apple id password, restarting my phone, signing out from my apple account etc please help me with the following problems

• How can I remove my old number from iMessage/facetime?
• How can I use my new number for iMessage and facetime?
