i inadvertently archived an email i’d like to retrieve but my All Mail folder has no content. I use both iPad Air and iPhone 7plus and my iOS is 11.2.5. My default mail account is a gmail account. Do I need to log in to gmail on the web to find archived items, or is there a setting I need to enable?
I’d appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Log into your email account on a web browser and if you still can't find it contact gmail.
you can view all your folders for each mail account you have.
I can view all folders for yahoo and ms exchange account.
Look at mailboxes and you should see your email account twice, one is only for the inbox, the other one is to access all your other folders including the inbox.
Yes, can see all folders for each account. One is actually labeled “all mail,” but when I click on it, there is no content. Owever, when I access the same account on the web, the All Mail folder does indeed have all mail. I wonder if It’s a problem specifically with gmail accounts....
Thanks. I did just that and it worked. But why is there an “all Mail” folder on my Apple devices if they do nothing?
