FWIW, it actually means the proposed solution is one that's recommended. It's not a value judgement about the app itself. Trying to use it to fix the problem is recommended. I hope that clarifies things.

To clarify and as ckuan pointed out, Apple has allowed their tech advisors to confidently advise customers who have malware concerns to install this app in particular.
Thus, it is Apple approved.

As for me, I do not have any anti-whatever since 2009.
Those anti... only gave you a false sense of hope since they only knows it when someone or more got infected.
