How to delete a row in a table?
I am using the "Advanced editor" within the Apple support communities.
I created a table, but it has too many rows.
How may I delete a row in a table?
null-OTHER, Yosemite, El Capitan, Sierra

Remember that the simple & advanced editor are actually an add-on to JiveWare = TinyMCE
TinyMCE | The Most Advanced WYSIWYG HTML Editor
Feeding back to Apple may have little effect, since ASC software is kind of a "side project" - communicating with the ASC 'engineers" through middleman Hosts is the only path that I know of to get the message through
To the issue:
I cannot get the "gear tool" to react (1) in Firefox now -- I am almost positive that this is where one would Delete a row = it IS where you ADD one
(2) seems to fade away after a few seconds, so you have to at least hover over it pretty quickly
The DELETE tool appears when you click #2 - it makes the whole table go POOF!

That does not work for me. It deletes the table not a row as asked by the OP. And the edit row does not have a delete row option.
I'm sorry to disagree with you but Providing Feedback to Apple is the way to provide feedback.
That's what I actually said 😉
RE: Feeding back
ASC is treated as a completely separate entity from the rest of Apple.com & Support.Apple.com subdomain... where one would NOT report a problem as Product Feedback - Apple, but rather Contact Us - Website Feedback - Apple
Any problems that we have had individually or as a group have been handled by reporting in the "upstairs" forum > Community Operations
Unfortunately:
I think this difficulty to find and use the function "delete a table row" has to be reported to Apple, because we don't have to care of the technical choices of Apple. This is the internal business of Apple, we don't even have to know how many sub-contractants are playing behind the scenes.
Welcome.
I use NimbusCapture add-on for Firefox to annotate screenshots - they are constantly improving and adding features - the "numbered circles" are new-ish (you can also "number" each annotation as you add them)
Nimbus Capture - Make screenshots or Record Screen
Yep - that's what I meant when I said to Bob "upstairs forum" (see Levels and Perks for Level 6 and above)
email communityaccounts@apple.com
and mention that you figured out how to contact the Hosts from Apple Support Communities Use Agreement - §1.13
Thank you for this HTML hacker's answer 😉! On the short term you helped me to terminate a message.
I hope that the managers of this chat room imagined a more professionnal solution, and they will shortly explain me how stupid I am not to guess it at first 😎.

One note, this is not a chat room, it is a user-to-user technical support site.
Change the editor view to HTML then delete everything between the the <tr> </tr> tags including the <tr> </tr> tags for the row you want to delete.
It is what it is. There is no other way that I know of. Perhaps someone else knows of another way. Provide feedback to Apple if you like: Product Feedback - Apple
This is one of the many issues with the editor, tinyMCE

ChitlinsCC: thank you.
I confirm I get the same useless behaviour with the menus you clearly identified (very professionnal class picture 🙂) as 1 and 2.
NimbusCapture is an impressive tool. Was using preview. The author is a javascript/firefox virtuoso.

Try it, you'll like it 😉 "Believe me. Bigly."
