Auto Input Monitoring problem

I am having an input monitoring issue. I have auto input monitoring selected, however it does not seem to be working properly. Unless I actually turn on input for the track I can not hear my track while recording.

I am using a new Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 2nd Generation Audio interface. Running Logic ProX 10.4 High Sierra 10.13.3 on the new iMacPro

GarageBand 10.3.4 Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 "Initializing Core Audio"? I have a macbook Pro 2019 model running macOS Monterey 12.5. When I use GarageBand 10.3.4 connecting a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, I get frequent interruptions of "Initializing Core Audio" popup message. When this happens the recording signal coming from the Scarlett is interrupted. This ruins that section of the recording. Usually I record that whole track over again, I am creating 60 or 90 second guitar tracks, so redoing the whole track has been best.The "Initializing Core Audio" popup clears very quickly, a second or so. doesn't seem to have a root cause. I've tried selecting the input to be the focusrite input 1 and focusrite input 2. The problem seems to keep happening. Does any one have any tips to help fix this?

Watery, duplicate signal with input monitoring Hi all – I’m still an amateur with Logic X, so this might be a dumb question. After months of normal functioning, now when I turn on input monitoring, the signal duplicates---as in, I can hear both the input and output channels at the same time, which creates an irritating watery, chorus-like effect with the instrument I’m playing. (It does not record this effect though.) When I mute the stereo out, it’s fine, but of course I can’t hear the rest of the instruments on the track. Also, this only happens with instruments running through inputs 1 and 2. I’m using a Focusrite 4pre with it. I’ve tried playing with the input configurations on it, restoring the original settings on the Focusrite, AND clicked “initialize all except key commands” on Logic Pro X. I’ve also made sure my MacBook Pro’s input and output settings are both routed to the Focusrite. Thank you for any help! This has been driving me nuts.

Cycle and Autopunch functions; Non-Armed tracks stop sounding audio on cycle I have a strange and occasional issue with my late 2013 Macbook Pro on Big Sur (11.6.8) and Logic (10.7.4) Can I punch-in AND cycle? I thought I could but here's what happens sometimes....I want to do multiple comps on a punch-in section... Cycle is set up a few measures before and after the punch-in section....When I try it, I hear everything fine and record that first pass...but as soon as the second pass occurs, my other (non-armed) track(s) drop out altogether...I've tried upping my I/O buffer size but I only get one shot at a punch in that I've defined by my punch in/out locators...then all other tracks drop out and it's just the record enabled track looping/recording. I created a brand new User profile on the Mac but this issue persists in a random fashion. thank you

Apple support saved my problem.

If anyone else has an issue this is what they did...

Logic-Preferences-Audio-General-Uncheck "Input monitoring only for focused track and record enabled track"
