AppleWatch Brightness

Has anyone else experienced, since updating to WatchOS 4.2.3, that their watch brightness is stuck on maximum?

Mine is.

Despite the settings on the watch and and iPhone app being on lowest brightness, the watch screen brightness refuses to change - at all - up or down. It is stuck on maximum. Which is a real pain at nighttime.

Anyone else experiencing this, or have a fix?

Thanks,

Jon

Hi Jon

It is certainly not normal for the brightness to become stuck on maximum.

Whilst I can't say why that has happened, the following steps may help:

Close certain apps and then restart (normally) both your iPhone and your Apple Watch:

If the issue persists, next unpair and re-pair your Apple Watch:

If the issue persists, then I suggest that you contact Apple Support (remote diagnostics and/or mail-in service may be available, if required), make a Genius Bar reservation or visit an Apple Authorised Service Provider for further assistance:
