The swipe option for the camera doesn’t work properly when my iphone7 is locked

When the phone is locked and you use the swipe to the left option to open the camera quickly, the very often doesn’t work and it just gives me a black screen with a tiny turning circle.. Does anyone else have this issue or can I fix it some how?

I am having issues with my camera. The front camera is working just fine, but the option to flip it, it black. Any suggestions for fixing this? I have reset my phone multiple times trying to fix it and it hasn't worked I need help figuring out my camera on my iphone 11. The normal camera is just a black screen when I change it from the front camera (which is fine). Any suggestions besides resetting? i have tried that many times and it hasnt worked.
