Suddenly my iPad needs activation ? I’m trying to connect , it does not want works

I’ve followed directions but how can I connect iPad to iTunes if

iPad is not activated ?

It’s not a new device , I’ve had it for years and then suddenly this happens

If your Mini is a cellular model, try removing the SIM card from the SIM tray, located on one of the long sides of the iPad, temporarily, to see if this clears up the Activation issue.
