Hey All,

I have been having some issues with my MacBook Pro Mid 2012, specifically how slow it is operating. I will be having a new battery installed next week but was hoping for some more feedback regarding the EtreCheck results below: Thanks for the feedback.

The combination of 4GB RAM and a slow rotational drive and High Sierra is a bad one. Going to at least 8GB of RAM will help some. Installing a solid state drive will help, also. If you have a full, bootable backup and can revert to Sierra, that would probably be a good idea.


OWC (macsales.com) has helpful videos on how to install upgrades. Crucial and OWC are trusted sources for RAM and SSDs. I usually get Crucial SSDs and RAM.
