Two-Step Auth

I have a MacBook Air, however do not own any other Apple devices and am trying to set up two-step auth. I have set my mobile number up as a trusted to have my verification code sent via text. When I enter the code is does not accept it and asks me to enter it again. I have tried this on 4 seperate occasions after having a new code sent each time and I get locked out as it claims I have entered the incorrect code too many times.

Help!

Two Factor Authorization Two Factor Auth is turned on and my device (MacPro 13) is recognized on my Apple ID page however I am asked to enter a verification code everytime I login into my Apple ID account as though it's a new device. Weird thing is it gives me the code on my Mac which makes no sense, i.e., If it thinks it's a new device, it shouldn't give me the code on the same device, and if it does recognize my device, I shouldn't get a ver code, right?

How to remove two step-authentication How do you remove two step authentication? I run our business computers from a single Apple ID and the verification codes are not sending to my authorized cell number, but instead are showing up on one of my employees Macbook Pros. This hinders me from navigating our account if she cannot send me the code in real time. Help, this is so frustrating!

Ways of getting 2FA verification code I have two trusted devices ( mobile numbers added in Mac OS Mojave 10.14 ) but they are switched off .Suggest me different method using Apple ID verification code generated from Mac itself so that it helps me to enter 2FA Apple ID account , apple article not be used .
