Time machine unmounts

Time machine unmounts

My time machine ejects (unmounts) every Sunday all without any action from me. I get an error message about it ejecting incorrectly. To remount it I have to disconnect it from the mini, then plug it in again, then go to Time Machine in Sys Preferences and select it.

I checked every Sys Preference and could not detect any scheduled event for this.

Any ideas?

Mac mini, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)

A further complication. My entire Reading list on Safari is gone. Is that recoverable from the time machine? How?

It's getting worse. Now I can't save even an item to the reading list.

All this has happened since I started using High Sierra--had no issues before.

Reading list problem solved. Somehow there was something in the search box and it found nothing. I cleared the search box and all were visible.
