I have an iphone6s plus with 64gb capacity... ios version 11.2.6...
I did a reset on my phone because it would not connect to wifi automatically...i had to add my wifi password in again and that works great now...but i can receive emails but i cannot send...Please help

Sending and receiving are two different functions. Unless it is an iCloud or MS Exchange account the user ID and passwords must be entered twice, once for incoming and once for outgoing. Unless it is a POP account it is usually easier to delete the account and add it back, and you will be prompted for all of the information needed.
Hi Lawrence, thank you for responding...To begin let me just say im not very good with technology...I know just the basics...I have a gmail app but have now added it in the setting area where my hotmail is listed...but i still cannot send from my phone
If you use the gmail app you can send and receive gmail using it. It has the advantage that it will "push" email to your phone as soon as it is received. If you want to get gmail in the Apple mail app instead, go to Settings/Accounts & Passwords, tap on the account and delete it. Then tap Add Account and add it back. Note that "push" won't work for gmail if you use the Apple mail app rather than the gmail app.
For the Hotmail account do the same thing. For Hotmail, if you don't have it through Outlook you should choose "Other" when you add the Hotmail back.
Both are IMAP accounts, and will resync your email after they are recreated.
