creating and using my own prose template

I just created my own template(MY TEMPLATE) which I intend to use repeatedly. In other words I expect any text or document which I write or which I transfer into my template to have my desired measurements and characteristic following my template. The font is Times 14. I opened MY TEMPLATE and pasted a paper, on which I am working on (another Pages template). Problem. the document which I transferred into MY TEMPLATE has a Times font, but comes in a tiny font, which it describes as 14 size, but it is nowhere near that size. This is not encouraging.😂
