Celluar Data Glitch on iPhone7

My iPhone 7 is barely 3 months old but 2 weeks ago, cellular data is not working the way it used to. It's overheating as well, it's scary. At first I thought it was just a network problem but when I used my iphone 7 as a hotspot and connected a Samsung phone, the cellular data works perfectly fine! But if I even try to surf using my iphone7, it wouldn't load at all.

I tried to update to the latest version of ios11 yesterday but it didn't fix the problem.

Current iphone model: iPhone 7, 128gb

Version: ios 11.2.6

I can connect but browsers are not loading, even apps takes a long while to load / it always restarts even though everything is updated. But if I connect another phone while using the iphone7 as personal hotspot, mobile data is very fast so I assume this is not a network problem.

Also, model number is A1778 so it's not included in the program that's eligible for repair / replacement. It doesn't show "No Service" either because I can text and call.

Can you connect without using the phone as a hotspot?

I had to read that again. I modified my response. But I would take the phone into Apple (if you live in the States or Canada and are near one) and have them look at it.
