mail VIP incorrect

mail VIP incorrect

I have 14 VIPs. 13 of them are functioning perfectly. 1 VIP contains the other VIPs messages and thus does not function correctly.

How do I fix it so that the 1 VIP contains only the messages it should.

I have already removed the 1 VIP from the list, but when I make a VIP for it by clicking on the email address it is wrong again.

MacBook Pro, macOS Sierra (10.12.2)

Hello Judy,

I see that you're having an issue with one of your VIP mailboxes. I certainly understand since the other mailboxes are working properly, and I'd be happy to help.

Let's try to have you remove the one VIP that is causing the issue, and this time before adding it back let's try to creating a new contact card for that person and then add the VIP mailbox back. Sounds like there could be something going on with that contact that could be causing this issue.
