Is there a simple way to transfer photos from a Samsung Galaxy S7 to iPhoto?

Hi.

Any help would be appreciated here. I need to transfer my wife's photos from her Samsung Galaxy S7 to iPhoto on my MacBook Pro, or even just to get them to the laptop somehow.

I have tried The android file transfer download but this simply doesn't seem to work of just falls over.

I'm hoping there is a reasonably straightforward way I can do this, it doesn't seem a lot to ask in these days of cross platform equipment and apps.

Any suggestions?
