new iPad, already configured. iTunes let me only "configure" or "restore", which I don't want both.

Hy!

I have a new, second iPad, already configured (I don't want to restore it from the old one, which I use for different things). Now iTunes doesn't give me the possibility to make a backup for the new one - only let me "configure" or "restore". Can I somehow circumvent this first window in iTunes to go to the usual window for backup and later for sync?

connecting existing device to iTunes I had this iPad for a while but never used it with iTunes. Now I want to do that though. Whenever I connect to iTunes on my computer it asks whether I want to set it up as a new iPad or restore from a previous backup. on the backups dropdown it does not show a previous backup but only a different iPad (which is part of family sharing). backing up to itunes I am trying to back up this iPad mini using iTunes on my iMac. It recognizes the device but there is only an option to restore an iTunes previous backup of my phone. It says "Welcome to your new iPad" and it's not new! There is no sidebar with settings or options. Anyone have a suggestion? Thank you!
