Remove people and places photo albums - iOS (11 (11.2.6(15D100)))

i dont have use for either the people album or the places album in photos on iOS. Is there any way to completely remove these albums from my grid of photo albums? I find it very annoying that these occasionally start collecting photos automatically.

No, there is no way to suppress any of the system-created albums or the automatic assignment of pictures to them.

You would have to delete all photos with GPS coordinates and all photos with people in them from the iPhone.
