"Itunes can not connect to this iphone. Could not send a message to the device."

I have an Iphone 7 and my Itunes account on my 2012 Macbook Pro will not detect my iphone. I have updated the software on my phone and laptop to the latest versions and still it will not register. When i connect my iphone its will say 'trust computer' amd i will select 'trust' but then iphoto will appear and say "unlock iphone" when it is unlocked and itunes will have a pop up message saying "Itunes can not connect to this iphone. Could not send a message to the device."

I have tried resetting network settings and i use a proper Apple usb cable, nothing seems to work. Please help i'ce had this issue for a year, i just want music on my phone.

I understand that iTunes on your MacBook Pro isn't recognizing your iPhone 7. It's important to make sure that your computer can recognize your phone, so I'll be happy to provide some help.

I suggest following the steps in support article: If iTunes doesn‘t recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod . You can skip any of the steps that you've already tried.
