Ipod Shuffle 4th Gen Will not sync with itunes

I have reset My shuffle with no luck, Unchecked 'Use icloud' with no luck, Made a separate playlist with no luck

My husband says it;s becasue all the music i have downloaded is from my 6 months Free imusic account.. Is this why I can't sync wiht my shuffle?

Stupidly i removed all my old music before trying to add new. So now I have Nothing on it at all.. Very Frustrated..

Any help anyone?
