Outgoing Mail Very Slow

Since the last OS update on my MacPro, no matter what size message I send it is periodically very slow to transmit. No problems loading internet pages, but I did a speed test anyway and they are normal (240 mbps down; 25 mbps up).

Is this a software issue? Anyone else noticing this?

Outgoing Mail not working from my MacBook Pro I have a Macbook Pro (late 2013) with macOS High Sierra. My outgoing mail stopped working. I can still receive emails, just not send them. I keep getting timed out, then a message telling me to select a different outgoing mail server but I don't know how to fix. I even tried mail connection doctor but that didn't work either. Can anyone help?
