Ipod Classic problem

I have,an,pod,classic,that,is,showing,0,songs.,When,I,connect,it,to,Tunes,,it,tel ls,me,it,cannot,read,the,contents,,and,to,restore,the,pod,to,factory,settings.

My ipod tells me my music is there - I just cannot pull it up. What's going on?

Will restoring factory settings delete my music?

How to reset myiPod classic My ipod classic keeps shutting off. The apple logo is shown on the main screen. Wait sometime 5 minutes, sometimes 20 minutes it eventually comes back on. This time there was a message to reconnect my ipod to my computer, which I did. But then I lost all the songs I had on the ipod. I use it for music only. Classic iPod no longer Syncs with Music I know that Apple has discontinued support for the iPod, however I have a 128GB classic iPod that I connect to my home stereo. Two days ago I had no trouble syncing with Apple Music/iTunes, however today I tried to sync. The iPod still shows up in the sidebar, the content, sync settings, and available space still show in the Finder window, but today the progress wheel just spins and and nothing syncs. If this is because Apple is no longer supporting iPods is there a third party software that you could recommend that will allow me to sync to my classic iPod?

iPod Classic not syncing, WIN10 I'm running Windows 10 on an almost new laptop. My iTunes Library is stable, and I imported all songs from my external HDD backup. On the PC, iTunes works fine. I can Add, Edit and Playback all as normal. BUT, when I plug in my iPod Classic, it is recognised by the software, but will NOT allow syncing. It receives charge from the power source, I can see the track Titles listed (but no other data) in the iPod window, but I'm allowed NO other actions. Can't sync, import, delete, edit - nothing. Even after a soft reboot of the iPod and restarting the laptop. That can't be right - right? The iPod isn't corrupt; it's working on playback. The laptop is new, so there's no issue there. I'm now overseas for a long time, and my HDD is back home, so I'm not going to risk a full reset of the software and the iPod. I'd rather have a limited-use iPod OK for playback, than a Reset one with no songs on it. Any suggestions? Thank you.
