I wanted to check if it is ok to buy airpods from best buy? and whether there would be an issue with buying from best buy instead of apple.

No issue. The device should still have the same warranty as if you purchased it directly from Apple. The only thing you may have issues with is if you want to return the product with 14 days you'll have to follow Best Buy's return policy
