Call whoever your carrier is and have them blacklist the IMEI so the phone can't be reactivated in the US. Go to iCloud on Find My iPhone and hit remote wipe. This will disable the phone and make it unable to be reactivated without your Apple ID and slash the value of the phone to make it useless to the thief.

First of all, call the police and have them write a record. Then on your PC or Mac, log into icloud.com using your Apple ID. There click on the Find My iPhone icon. If you have FMI turned on on your phone, you should see its location at the center of the map. click on the 'i' button and then click lost mode and erase iphone.
