Recover Data From iPhone in Recovery Mode

My 128GB iPhone 6s randomly rebooted, and was fine. Later that day it shut down, went to the Apple logo for about 10 minutes, then blacked out. I have tried force restarting it, that didn't bring it back to life. Then I decided to plug it into iTunes. I got the popup saying that the iPhone must be restored. I have not yet restored it because I was wondering if data recovery is possible. I have tried all free online software for Windows and MacOS and none has worked. This phone is not backed up to iTunes or on iCloud. Is data recovery possible, are there any companies that can do it? Also any information on why an iPhone would do this would be very appreciated.
