Access external drive via USB connection to wifi router - 3 questions 1) is it vulnerable 2) can I have it automatically appear as a volume in Finder/Desktop 3) how can my iPhone iOS 10.3.3 "see" it?

I have an external disk with two volumes (password protected ). When connecting the external disk to the ipad I can see the file of the volumes but there is no option to open those. Any suggestions ?
