store search wiped out

why does itunes do this? I search in the store for some band, let's say underworld. a bunch of their songs pop up. i listen to one tune and like it, but can't remember if i already own it so i jump to library and check. then i jump back to store, only instead of returning to my search results it opens itunes' current song promotion page. now i have to repeat the search. am i doing something wrong or is this just plain stupid?

Searching iTunes store I'm having problems searching for music in the iTunes store. I have the store in the side bar on the left of the screen but when I click in the search box there is no option to select the store as a search location - it just says 'searching your library'. I read an earlier post saying that when you click in the search box 3 dots appear on the right. I do have three dots but they only open 'playing next' and 'history' options. I would love to buy and download some more music!

Search in iTunes Store not working I used to be able to search for a song in the iTunes store, find it and purchase the song. The search bar "IN" the iTunes store is gone... now the search bar is on the side/dashboard and it only searches in the music player (which I have no interest in subscribing to)... How do I search for music in today's iTunes Store??? Thanks -

How do I search in the iTunes store? In Apple Music (Big Sur edition) there is an "iTunes store" thingumy in the left side bar, so I click it. Then I type something in the search field top left, but it immediately switches to "search in your library". So how do I actually search in the iTunes Store?
