I got a new iPhone 7 over thanksgiving. It will no back up to iCloud even though I have over 4.5G in iCloud. What could be the reason?

My backups worked fine on my old iPhone 6

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 11.2.6

See -- If iCloud Backup couldn’t be completed or you can’t restore - Apple Support OR If your iTunes backup couldn't be completed or you can't restore from a backup - Apple Support.
