How to install root CA certificates to iOS 11 (iPhone)

The procedure seems to change from iOS 10 to iOS 11. I am not able to install the self-signed certificate from a proxy device.

iPhone 7, iOS 10.0.2, macOS Sierra (Version 10.12)

ios 15.0.1 certificate profiles How does one add a locally trusted root certificate in iOS 15.0.1? I can download it from an email message, and the dialog box then says "Profile downloaded: review the profile in Settings app if you want to install it." However, There is no Profiles in General settings on my copy of 15.0.1, as there was on iOS 14. A search for "profile" or "profiles" turns up nothing except for "Health".
