formatting a iPad pages document to a different size.

I typed my manuscript for a book using my iPad pages. I typed on the 8 1/2" x 11" documents. The publishing company says I have to format the manuscript to the book size I want which is a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" book. How do I format my iPad pages 8 1/2" x 11" manuscript to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" size without having to retype the whole Manuscript over?

Hi dtfrak,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. I understand that you'd like to know how to change the paper size for your Pages document. I can see why you'd reach out for assistance with this; I'm happy to help. The information below reviews how to change the page size for your documents:

Set paper size and margins

  1. Tap User uploaded file, then tap Document Setup.

  2. Tap Change Paper Size at the bottom of the screen, then tap a paper size.

  3. Drag the double arrows on each side of the document body to change the page margins.

  4. Tap Done to return to the document view.

Hi dtfrak,

To clarify, you mention that you "tapped on the site", did you tap on the 3 dots in Safari after opening the support page we gave you? If so, you want to actually tap on the 3 dots in your Pages app. Open up the Pages document you want to resize, and then tap on the 3 dots in the upper-right corner of that screen. From there you should see another menu populate where you can tap "Document Setup" and move forward with resizing.

Warmest Regards.
