I can’t back up my iPhone and I don’t know what the reason is . My phone is connected to itunes but the back up now option is not available

I understand from your post that you are not able to create an iTunes backup because the Back Up Now button is grayed out. For this type of issue, the steps from the following article may be helpful:

If your iTunes backup couldn't be completed or you can't restore from a backup - Apple Support

If you are using a Windows PC, uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes may also be helpful:

Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows 7 and later - Apple Support
